Specifically we should avoid making git a requirement for configuring or
building NuttX. Not all developers manage their sources (and electronic
designs and other file formats) with git, and use of git in the build
system would also be problematic for anyone who is using release tarballs.
Agreed!!!
Limiting usability of the system by the minority for the benefit of the
majority is opposed to the principles in INVIOLABLES.md, "All Users
Matter." We have never done that and we must forever avoid doing that
in the future. We like SVN too ;)
