Justin, Regarding getting the copyright owner's permission, it sounds like we need to add a step in the license clearing process <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NUTTX/License+Clearing> to find out where the file came from– was it written by the author, or was it contributed from somewhere else?
