Hi team, I am currently working on NIFI-15454 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15454>, which proposes adding a component_class label to the NiFi Prometheus metrics registry.
One possible approach is to pass the processor’s canonical class name from ProcessorNode to the Prometheus metrics layer through ProcessorStatus. However, this would require adding a new field to ProcessorStatus in nifi-api. Before proceeding, I would like to confirm whether this API change would be acceptable.
