Apologies to all. After doing a review of the PR for this JIRA, I attempted to commit it using the Github UI. I'm familiar with the "Squash" workflow from working with other Github repositories, but this repo is set up differently, so it went in as a merge commit.
In the past, I've squashed NiFi PRs locally and pushed via the command line. This seems to be the right thing to do for this repository. Mea culpa.
