the patch is missing integration tests, so it requires more work then just
patching it. If anyone(you?) could provide some IT's I can have a look at it.
It's not only to confirm that it works, but also that it will keep working
after trying to fix other issues.
I've scrolled quickly through the patch: the base looks ok to me, needs some
small adjustments here and there.
