The Mojo team is pleased to announce the release of new versions of several archetypes from the mojo-archetypes project, relating to Java EE, OSGi w/ Felix, NetBeans Platform, and empty POM project. Changes include:

* [critical] ARCHETYPE-304 - fixed archetype-metadata.xml files to conform to schema. Otherwise these archetypes will be rejected by the current version of the archetype plugin.
* [critical] Using maven-archetype packaging throughout, so archetype catalogs
will list them.
* [critical] javaee:javaee-api:5 was published to the non-legacy-format
java.net repo, so Maven 3 can find it.
* [critical] Use nbm-maven-plugin 3.3, which fixes serious errors on Maven 3.
* Using project.build.sourceEncoding to avoid a warning.
* Escaping variables that Velocity should not interpret.
* OSSRH-811 - Java EE 6 endorsed APIs now available on Central, so no further
need for a special repo.
* Better OpenIDE-Module-Display-Category behavior for NBMs.
* Use api.annotations.common for dummy dependency in an NBM.
* ${netbeans.version} as an archetype parameter.
* MNBMODULE-92 - branding token / cluster name tweaks.
* MNBMODULE-94 - no more profiles.xml.
* Updates of many dependencies and plugins.
* Cosmetic changes, such as more readable names of generated projects.
* New archetype for NBM with OSGi support.
* New archetypes for J2EE 1.3.
