We found it useful to be able to add command line arguments to the generated
application script.
This is possible to do using the daemon scripts. however the simple scripts
seem to lack that feature.
we patched the current trunk (1.1-S) to add that feature.
Feel free to incorporate our patch if you think it is useful.
