Jochen Wiedmann closed MOJO-1363.
---------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

The xml-maven-plugin's transform goal doesn't have this problem. In contrary,
it even includes an uptodate check. The xml-maven-plugin is considered to
supersede the xslt-maven-plugin.

>
> If the target file already exists, XSLT plugin throws an exception.
> There should be an option to overwrite existing files.
> How to test:
> 1) Set up some project to transform some XML. Put the config into
> <project><build>, to be able to run it using `mvn xslt:transform`.
> 2) Now run it twice: `mvn xslt:transform`. You will see that the second
> time, XSLT plugin will throw an exception saying "Unexpected end of file".
