I have attached a patch file called 'xslt-maven-plugin-mojo-1007.patch' that
should correct this issue. I was exploring the XSLT plugin to understand more
about developing maven plugins and noticed that this issue was still open.
The patch when applied will allow the xslt:transform goal to create the parent
directory structure for the new destination output files. This should allow
the users of the plugin to place the original XML input files under any amount
of subdirectories within the XML source directory. The structure of the
subdirectories will be created under the destination directory and the newly
transformed output files will be placed at the appropriate levels.
