I see that there seems to be one functional test today, written in early 2006. I guess it means it's possible to change. What functional test framework do you want to use ? http://maven.apache.org/plugin-developers/plugin-testing.html I've used the shitty maven plugin for the webstart mojo project and the maven-plugin-testing-harness for the exec one.
