Well, its about time na? The SHITTY (Super Helpful Intergration
Testing ThingY) plugin has been around for a while now and has matured
to the point warranting a release.
A number of plugins are already using it like:
* groovy+maven integration
* selenium-maven-plugin
* retrotranslator-maven-plugin
* jspc-maven-plugin (v2)
And some external project have started to use it like:
* Apache Geronimo
* Apache Geronimo GShell
And well... there could be others too which I am not aware of.
SHITTY helps make it simple to build integration tests which use
specific/known artifacts by combining bits of the maven-clean-plugin +
maven-install-plugin and allow flexible test execution (in similar
fashion to the maven-invoker-plugin) with additional support to invoke
Groovy scripts, run tests in parallel, colorize test output and
summaries for quick/glance verification.
The docs are relatively descriptive (IMO) and can be reviewed here:
* http://mojo.codehaus.org/shitty-maven-plugin
This is the first public release, so there are no release notes, just
the docs.

[_] +1 My life has been dramatically improved by the existence of
SHITTY
[_] +0 Um... I like cheese, what is SHITTY
[_] -1 SHITTY is shitty... and I want to write you a small novel as
to why it will eat your children...
The vote will conclude sometime Tuesday evening (the 20th) PST.
Please vote.
