Jason Dillon reopened MGROOVY-74:

Ugh... the stupid {{maven-plugin-plugin:descriptor}} has a short-cuircuit and
will *only* execute on projects which have a packaging of {{maven-plugin}}.
So, short of changing that plugin or duplicating the goal locally this will not
work :-(
