Hi Matt,
none of the options you proposed. (even if, it shouldn't be difficult so 
support at the least the second one): It allows you to create a izpack 
installer given an existent izpack.xml file (or equivalent). One of the todos 
of the plugin is to generate one if none is present.

I use it in combinatio with the launch4j to wrap the installer into a native 
.exe and distribute it.
