I'd actually be open to discussing bringing this to Maven proper. I'd
like to see core functionality in the main project, and I can see this
becoming core functionality. There is also the beginnings of csharp
support from Trygve in the Maven sandbox that this could replace.

I'll leave that up to you. +1 to either.
