[mojo-dev] maven-changes

I noticed there is a maven-changes project in the mojo sandbox in
addition to the old M1 changes plugin ported to M2 in
changes-maven-plugin.  I would like to get the changes plugin in usable
condition with M2 - how are the two connected and what needs to happen
to get changes up-to-date?
