Hi Ross,
I use this following command:
gconftool-2 --type boolean --set
/apps/gnome_settings_daemon/plugins/mount/active false
But after this also USB is getting automounted.

Deb

I am using Moblin 2.1, kernel version 2.6.31.6-36.1.moblin2-ivi. Here
I want to how to disable automounting USB device. In Ubuntu suystem, I
can do so by modifying a HAL script "preferences.fdi" in the
directory /etc/hal/fdi/policy/, but in this moblin system I can't find
that sort of script. So it would be very much helpful to me if someone
can tell me how can I stop USB automounting.
Set the gconf key /apps/gnome_settings_daemon/plugins/mount/active to
false.
Ross
Make sure you run that as your normal user and not as root. gconf has a
per user database.
