Hi

An update with respect to using the vesa frame buffer, certain
parameters in the .config file are shown as not enabled like
'CONFIG_FB_VESA not set' but since this image says its built for use
with vesa that parameter has to be enabled by default right?. If not
   how do I enable it?

I used the command 'make menuconfig' and enabled them to 'y' that is
'CONFIG_FB_VESA=y' but since the kernel src is not there I cannot build
it after making the changes to the .config so I am of the impression
that the changes are only reflected in the .config file and are not
reflecting in the kernel. do correct me if Im wrong.

Should I download and compile the kernel source
rpm([1]kernel-2.6.31.6-44.1.moblin2.src.rpm) and make the changes and
use that kernel during image creation? or is there another method to
enable the frame buffer parameters in the kernel config(modifying the
   .ks file)?

I am using the latest release of the kick start file ([2]Moblin 2.1 IVI
final Project Release Kickstart) which does not have the IEGD from
   [3]http://moblin.org/projects/2.1-ivi-project-releases.

   Thanks,

        Hi
I have created an image using the MIC2 using the kickstart file
     which
does not have the IEGD, I want to use the vesa frame buffer, how
     do I
go about doing this? I have edited the grub.conf file with the
        "VGA=0x311" value for a 640x480 resolution, yet I don't seem to
     be
getting the fb0 in /dev. And this image has the pkg
        "xorg-x11-drv-vesa-2.2.0-1.4.moblin2.i586.rpm" installed.
Anyone out there who can help?
        Thanks in advance.
        Vandana
