Hi Connor, It's great to see you're interested in OpenOffice.org and that you want to help out :) Welcome aboard! As Ivan explained it's better to upload attachments to a wiki or a website and then link to them. I would also like to see your designs, we are open for new ideas and creativity. But as Ivan also explained the logo isn't likely to change soon: so many people around the world know it and recognize it. And that's why we are also working on logo usage guidelines to help community members use the logo consistently. You can find the draft of those guidelines here: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Branding_Initiative/branding_guidelines_draft But we have many other places where you can be creative and where poeple from all over the world can see your work: our website, our wiki, marketing materials, etc. So there's plenty of room for you to be creative! For example, how can we create marketing materials that look cool for people your know, like for example your friends? You can design flyers, postcards, or cool graphics for the web. We'd love to see them! You can also subscribe to the Art list: a...@marketing.openoffice.org Let me know if you have any questions and don't hesitate to show us your ideas. In this case, the logo's have been designed for a possible OpenOffice.org 4. I hope that this is legal, and would like to ask you to consider, or at least view the design's. They are quite similar to the new 'OpenOffice.org 3' logo, as if there is to be an OpenOffice.org 4, or any future OpenOffice.org releases beyond (at the moment) '3.3' I don't suspect you would want a dramatic change. I am a 13 year old, who uses OpenOffice.org frequently, and would like to hear your feedback. I will include the design's as attachments in this email.Unfortunately the mailing list does not allow attachments - please upload your work to the OpenOffice.org wiki [1], or send us a link if you can upload the file(s) somewhere online. Although we're interested in seeing what you've come up with, it's highly unlikely that the OpenOffice.org logo will change any time soon; this year the new OpenOffice.org logo was announced [2], and since the last one was with us for 10 years, this one's probably going to be around for a while. Please consider joining the branding list (brand...@marketing.openoffice.org) where the branding strategy of OpenOffice.org is being formulated if you're interested in this area. Regards, Ivan.
