I'm currently playing with the idea of hosting an Asterisk server to
provide phone conferencing for OOo marketing and maybe other OOo
projects. I wanted to take more time, but as the current provider I
planned to use will charge for its services soon, we have to find a new
solution sooner than I thought.
Can people who are interested in having a local dial-in in their country
please:
- check for SIP providers who provide local dial-in numbers (I don't see
a need for toll-free numbers at the moment, too expensive for now)
- preferably look for providers providing accounts free of charge for
incoming calls
- and ask those providers how many concurrent incoming (!) connections
they allow for the account
I've just found a German SIP provider offering basically unlimited
incoming calls for free, so we have a start here.
