The demise of VBA is a tremendous advantage for us:

Aside from the obvious (getting rid of a crap scripting language) it
means that users of macros MSO documents *will* be forced to re-write
their macros. That has been cited as the major obstacle to migration to
OOo / ODF for some holdouts.
The fact that OOo can use macros written in Python or Javascript means
that there is already a large pool of expertise to draw upon when
writing new macros. And Javascript overlaps with all that "Web 2.0"
stuff.
It can be leveraged easily into a marketing advantage for OOo.
