Within my legal knowledge, that this would appear to be a trademark issue and would advise OpenOffice.org/Sun Microsystems lawyers to take a look into

Trademark issues are certainly becoming more prominent in the field of open source software and misuse over recent months. I am not sure if there is an issue here, but I guess that is up to Sun Microsystems to follow up.

On another note, I definitely would not purchase ANYTHING from a site where
they can't spell a simple word like "license". Even in other forms of
English, "license" is not spelled "licence". Bogus and I apologize for all of you that purchased it. It's always a free download at openoffice.org!

Actually, "licence" is the noun in UK/AU type English and "license" is the verb. The Americans use the same spelling for both of them. It is similar in UK/AU English to the terms "advice" (the noun) and "advise" (the verb).

We hold no relationship with that website. You can download OpenOffice.org free of cost from here and install it at no extra charge. Bare in mind that it was during the Christmass break and he might have been away from
his computer. I recomend to try to email him again.

Hi,

Please help me - I ordered and paid for Open Office Suite on Dec 27,
2007
and it never downloaded for me.
What do I do now? I sent an email to jeandylon for help but have not
heard
back. Is the openofficesite.com a scam website? Did I lose my money?

Thanks,

Victor

I'm not sure if what they're doing is legal. And if is, OpenOffice
should
definitely be getting a cut of it.
