I'm downloading Open Office for the first time to take a look. Just occurred to me that one easy thing you could do to help with your marketing plan and effectiveness that is so simple, is before you allow downloads ask where the customer heard about you. Not sure how you can evaluate the effectiveness of your activities without knowing this.
thanks for your feedback! In fact, we have such a survey - when you start OOo the first time, you have the option to register and fill out a survey, where these questions are being asked. I agree, however, that the survey is long and many people tend not to answer it. :-)
