When organising events it is good to be able to do it without surrounding "Noise" and it allows organisers to include non OOo people without filling their mailboxes with emails that are irrelevant to them.
I disagree here. Given the posting stats on events@, no one has used it much yet. :-) For local events, normally only local lists within the NLC projects are being used, and for larger global events, we normally use our own lists, like conference@ - so I see no reason for keeping [EMAIL PROTECTED] But if you see it different, we can talk about that.
I would be opposed to this as the education project doesn't cater for the group this list was intended for.
Not much is going on on this list. At the moment, I guess all items could be discussed on [EMAIL PROTECTED] Should there be a need for a separate list, I can make it live again afterwards. As said, I'll keep the archives, settings and list of subscribers, I won't delete the list, only disable it.
