Further checks indicate that registering OpenOffice in the EU, USA and a couple of other countries would cost over $6000 Australian... The cost far outweighs any benefit... It would probably be a good ides to keep an eye out for any attempts to register the name, at least we could then lodge objections. In the interim, I guess there is nothing to stop us using just plain OpenOffice.
