Deepankar posted this to [EMAIL PROTECTED] list as part of another
message:

"... here is an article at the Guardian about how there are few outside
contributors to OOo:
http://technology.guardian.co.uk/weekly/story/0,16376,1660763,00.html .
Pkus side - more exposure of OOo; negative side: shows that work needs
to be done simplifying OOo so people can more easily help.
"

Here are some responses to the article:

As an aside, the above thread was OT included in a Groklaw article "CCIA
Calls on ECMA to Reject MS's Proposal". Refer to the parent article if

Back to OpenOffice.org and bugs. Andre posted a message wrt his concerns
about the upcoming 2.0.1 release
(http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=releases&msgNo=9151).
You will need to follow the thread by looking for the messages with the
subject "OOo 2.0.1 RC and software quality" and "Delaying the release
(Was: OOo 2.0.1 RC and software quality)" as the threads are broken and
cross-posted across several lists.

Andre specifically asked input from those contributing to marketing.
