That's not true at all. I've got MSO 2003, and it opens formats as old as Word 2.0. You just have to download the filters from microsoft.com<http://microsoft.com>- they aren't hard to find. I mean, I found them, and I'm not that bright - just ask anyone on this list. 6. Corrupted Word 2k/XP document will often open easily with OOo but not > at all with XP.
