The issue is complicated. On the one hand, the "non-free" thing can get out of hand IMHO, so I see your point. But in other cases, it has solid merit, so I see /their/ point. Knowing where to draw the line is left as an exercise to the reader :-)
and is one of the reasons Linux will never replace Windows.
I can't predict the future, but I hope you're wrong. :-)
