I saw this on a blog somewhere.  The response on the blog was that
this is a little overblown.  Which I do agree as far as participation
from other companies.  There are other companies that are giving back
that wasn't noted in the article.  I just want to make those companies
that might be reading this the acknowledgement that we do appreciate
what they do for us.

That said we do need more help.  It hits it right on the head why it's
difficult.  It's large code and you can't just jump right in without
getting a little overwhelmed.  I am trying to put a college group
together that can create features and work on bugs, but I'm a little
timid about doing it because I have a hard time trying to figure out
what direction it should begin with.

Really overall though it's nice to have this article because maybe
some programmers will want to start coding.  What I think we need is
some of the writers here could interview a coder on how to get started
with OpenOffice.  More in depth than just look at the bugs list.  Even
if it's sign up on such and such list and we will help you get
started.  It would give an easier feeling on how to get started
programming with OpenOffice.

Sorry a long email for just wanting to say the first paragraph.
