I'd just like to start with agreeing with Jason that however critical
these debates get we are hopefully like family. We stick together in the
main thrust of the task, but we need to air these frustrations and find
some real solutions that are really doable. Some people have referred to
these discussions as noise. I highly disagree, they are a healthy sign
that we work collaboratively in a pluralist community.

I'd have to agree that finding things is not that easy. What happened to
Daniel's proposals for changes to the web site? (Now stay calm Daniel
:-) ). Personally I looked at them before I went away and thought hey
that's a lot better. It might be that we only have resource to do some
minor things but a few of these in the right direction would help. If we
haven't the resources to do more major things then we have two chioces,
we get the resources or we focus what we have on things that can be done
that have the most impact. We have to include in that the constraint
that the resource available is also determined by particular interests.
Without a marketing budget it can't be any different. That might mean
the "corporate plan" is not ideally matched or even matchable at
particular points in time but the corporate plan that suits a corporate
is not necessarily going to have the same process in a project like this
with no budget.
