>This writer and journalist uses "OpenOffice.org" and "OOo" well: Yes and I do agree that .org is an asset for marketing In my original post I was thinking of the example of Coke and Coca-Cola one is the real product name the other is its common name. Both are useful marketing tools in different contexts and when addressing particular audiences and both are instantly recognisable as the same product. Allowing people to use an alternative name is not the same as giving up on branding altogether, we should still point out that OpenOffice.org should be used in titles, logos and I guess manuals etc. As in your example OOo is also a useful alternative name but only when the full version of the name is used first. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
