It's, as you noted, a corporate-friendly place. The Help files on the left are for users of the product. Only, you have to be a project lead to access the right one. And even that wouldn't really help you. :-( But what do you want, again? To change the metadata per directory index page? It can probably be done, though the resulting page would likely have both the global metadata and specific.... I don't know if that would queer the search; doubt it.
