The JIRA doesn't have a time limit, I do. All I'm doing here is trying to
insure that people don't expect me to do anything with this in the near future
and leaving a paper trail that lets someone else pick it up in my absence. And
letting folks know the current state in case they _do_ want to pick it up.
I'm fine with leaving it as it is. I've listed the merges that need to happen
if someone wants to merge this all in to 4x when appropriate. If there's a fix
for the test problem, then there'll be at least one more merge than I've listed
of course.
I'm also trying to NOT check things in the night before I leave on vacation...
