It's not a strict calculation anyway so I don't think we should fail, esp.
since some queries (LTR) may legitimately contain arbitrary parameters - we
could simply assume a larger default value for unknown objects, equivalent eg.
to a class with a few primitive and a few moderately-sized String fields (256
bytes? 384 bytes?).
