As Robert said above:
bq. join, queryparser, spatial-extras modules have a dependency on the
backwards module (for now) until they are cleaned up.
So IntelliJ config needs backwards-codec added as a dependency to the
corresponding modules. In addition, the following modules need the same
treatment: solr-core (both the compile and the test modules) and
solr/contrib/analytics. I'll commit a fix shortly.
