Projections would be useful - and BKD is the right structure to handle them. We
need to be careful where we put a lot of this logic though. There are other
Apache projects that already do this kind of stuff very well (and maintain the
logic along with the EPSG database). I'm not sure we want to necessarily
duplicate this work. Support for some of this more "expert capability" makes
more sense in spatial-extras where we can bring in third-party support (like
SIS, ESRI).
