I am moving this to the [email protected] list and CCing you in case you are not
on that list.

Your best bet here is to talk to Apache Legal and ask them what they
think of your proposal. Things like logos and the names "Apache OFBiz"
and "Apache Solr" are trademarks. We give our code away (subject to
copyright license restrictions), which lets almost anyone do almost
anything with it and not ask permission, but the foundation maintains
complete legal control over what can be done with its trademarks.
Permission is generally fairly liberal, but the requirements are strict.

Because you represent a fellow Apache project, you have a much better
shot at getting this request approved than a random committer in a
non-Apache or commercial project ... but legal will let you know whether
your usage causes any problems. I suspect that they'd be fine with it,
but you do need to make sure.

One thing I think you could do that would not require extra permission
(beyond making sure Solr is properly covered by your legal disclosures)
is simply include both logos unchanged in a single graphic file. If you
have not already done so, it is a good idea to check with legal to make
sure your disclosures are correct for including another Apache product
in your release.

Thanks,
Shawn
