So each version seems to be slightly less intrusive, so v4 has the least amount 
of change.  It's also the least "flexible" from the stand point that any other 
Directory that is created, that isn't a FsDirectory or HdfsDirectory will 
require a change in SystemInfoHandler.java as well...
