Hi all, the old lucene-zones.apache.org machine, running on FreeBSD, was disabled an hour ago and all Jobs migrated. This old machine was not able to run Java 8 at all (crushed all the time and had the famous FreeBSD blackhole). In addition, it was about to be decommissioned soon; we moved the whole slave to a Ubuntu 14.04 machine.
>From now on all builds are running in a VMware machine >(lucene1-us-west.apache.org) running Ubuntu 14.04 with 4 (virtual) cores >[/proc/cpuinfo says: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz] and 16 GiB of >RAM. I changed all jobs to use the correct JDK version (because those are installed automatically now) - sorry for the mail flood about broken jobs. I hope all is fine now, if you find a problem, please respond to this mail with Jenkins Job and build number. Possible errors could be files not found (nightly jobs using Wikipedia dumps, Maven upload to snapshot repo not working, or cases where I missed to change JDK version). I will now cleanup the policy file of test security to no longer have the hardcoded FreeBSD localhost address workaround with hardcoded hostname (will just heavy commit). Uwe P.S.: Thanks to Chris Lambertus and Gavin McDonald for their help during the migration. ----- Uwe Schindler H.-H.-Meier-Allee 63, D-28213 Bremen http://www.thetaphi.de eMail: --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: For additional commands, e-mail:
