Updated patch with minor changes. I've also benchmarked this test on my machine
with 150k Jeopardy questions dataset over 2 shards with a replication factor of
1. The times aren't off on that one.
It'd be good if someone else can also look at it else I'd like to brush it a
little more, document it and commit.
