You can check this out by going to the Solr admin and trying to add a new
SolrCore with all the defaults. Just go to the core admin page and hit the
button.
Things will fail early with java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Path must not
end with / character, but not before publishing a poison pill state to the
overseer queue, which leads into further issues due to SOLR-5811.
