log4net can be configured in various ways, so there's no simple answer to this
because it depends on how you use log4net. netstandard-1.3 support was only
added recently and there is not much knowledge around with that new framework.
Therefore the documentation is surely not accurate and needs improvement.
Unfortunately I don't know either and therefore you'll have to find out
yourself. It would be great if you let us know what you find out so that we can
use your contribution to improve our documentation!
I'm improving the title and description of your request to better reflect the
