Hello Kafka developers and friends, According to our release plan (https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=100827512) feature freeze deadline passed.
Thus, we now have a new branch 2.2 (with 2.2.0 as target release version). Trunk will been bumped to 2.3.0-SNAPSHOT via https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/6226 Please wait until the PR is merged before you merger any pending PRs to trunk. Afterwards, most changes including new features for 2.3 should go to trunk. Regular bug fixes, minor changes, and new test code can go into trunk and 2.2 via double committing until code freeze deadline (Feb 14, 2019). Thanks! -Matthias
