Hello Folks,

This is another heads up on 1.0.0 progress post the feature freeze deadline:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=71764913

We have ended up with 28 total KIPs in this release, with 5 other KIPs
being postponed to subsequent releases; out of the 28 KIPs there are still
3 of them (namely KIP-91, KIP-188, KIP-196) in the flux state right now. We
will see how it goes in the coming couple of days.

I have also updated the JIRA board to push all open tickets that are not
yet started to subsequent releases, and now we have a total of 66 open
tickets left that are in "Started Progress" or "Patch Available" state.

If you are the reporter / submitter / reviewer of some of these 66 tickets,
please remember that all JIRAs have to be merged before the code freeze
deadline, which is Oct. 4th, or being postponed; please take a minute or
two to re-evaluate your tickets are see if they are still valid / would
likely to make it to 1.0.0, and if yes please work with your reviewers to
get the PR merged in sooner than later.

Thanks,
-- Guozhang
