MINOR: Inline `Record.write` into `Compressor.putRecord` This simplifies the call path making the code easier to understand. Previously, `Record.write(ByteBuffer...)` called `Compressor.putRecord` which after a few overloaded calls, would end up in`Record.write(Compressor...)`. You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running: $ git pull https://github.com/ijuma/kafka inline-record-write Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at: https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/1388.patch To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch with (at least) the following in the commit message: This closes #1388 ---- commit da047bd394e0e48c734f2d07378ebeb648f41bc6 Author: Ismael Juma <ism...@juma.me.uk> Date: 2016-05-15T15:15:22Z Inline `Record.write` into `Compressor.putRecord` ---- --- If your project is set up for it, you can reply to this email and have your reply appear on GitHub as well.
