Raju Bairishetti created KAFKA-2762: ---------------------------------------
Summary: Add an log appender for zookeeper in the log4j.properties file Key: KAFKA-2762 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-2762 Project: Kafka Issue Type: Task Components: log Reporter: Raju Bairishetti Assignee: Jay Kreps Log4j.properties file is present under config directory. Right now, we are using this log4j file from the daemon scripts. Ex: kaka-server-start.sh & zookeeper-start.sh scripts. I am not seeing any log appender for zookeeper daemon in the log4j properties. *IMO, we should add a log appender for zookeeper in the log4j properties file to redirect zookeeper logs to different file.* Zookeeper logs will be printed on console if we use the existing the log4j properties file. I agree that users can still update log4j file but it would be nice to keep the appender so that every user does not need to modify the log4j file. I have recently started using kafka. Could anyone please me add as a contributor to this project? -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
