{{doPutConnectorConfig}} needs two requests to complete its job, which means
another user’s request could slip in between and cause a race condition. For
example, the first request sets initial offsets, but the second doesn’t. When
the race happens, the connector created by the second request could use the
initial offsets set by the first request without any warning.
Of course ... if both requests have identical initial offsets, that is fine 🙂
