## What changed - Add a standard-library Python checker for Kafka links under `## Archived Releases`. - Reject active distribution URLs from `downloads.apache.org`, `dlcdn.apache.org`, and Apache mirror redirectors while allowing `archive.apache.org`, Docker Hub, Kafka documentation, and the ASF `KEYS` link. - Run the checker for pull requests and before the existing deployment build. - Add Make targets and focused unit tests for section boundaries, allowed links, active mirror variants, Markdown code fences, and error paths. ## Why When a release moves from supported to archived, its artifact, signature, checksum, and release-note links must move to `archive.apache.org`. This is a manual step and is easy to miss, leaving archived releases pointed at active distribution infrastructure. The check is intentionally static and scoped to the archived section. It does not perform network requests, so it avoids flaky external link validation. Apache Jira: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-20737 ## Validation - `make check-archived-release-links-test` (16 tests) - `make check-archived-release-links` - `git diff --check origin/markdown...HEAD` -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
