Hi all, I’d like to bump this thread and bring attention to an issue with deprecating ClientQuotaCallback#updateClusterMetadata.
Given that this has been non-functional for its intended purpose since the 4.0 introduction, I propose we deprecate this method now. This will warn users against relying on this flawed metadata behavior before it becomes a standard part of their KRaft-based quota logic. Appreciate your thoughts on whether we should move forward with deprecation or if there is a preferred alternative.
