Thanks for your comments.
The proposed configuration change adds more flexibility while preserving
the original behavior, and two others also agreed with it. So I’ve adopted
the suggestion and updated the KIP and PR accordingly.
Really appreciate your input!

Hi all,
The new comments have been addressed.
Could someone please take another look at this KIP and vote if no further
