Hi Christo,

We found and fixed an issue affecting the consumer
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-20040). It's a very small
fix, PR already approved, fixing a race condition that could make the
consumer fail unexpectedly on basic poll/unsubscribe flows if the race
hits, so I would like to cherry-pick it. Let me know what you think.
